For a while now I've been hosting a Minetest server running Minecraftn't Classic, which is like a clone/recreation of Minecraft Classic. Usually the world would look like a warzone, but I decided to reset it a couple of days ago and will now start running it more seriously, checking in and taking better care of it now.

Currently the map will be permanent, so if you build something, it will stay there permanently. Given it's not an ugly brick cube of course. :)

You can find the server in the Minetest server list or by directly connecting to voxelmanip.se on port 30001.

 a very epic server, has my name, has ralsei and kirby, i rate it 11/10 :D
i plan on making ralsei-sized vaporeon pixelart near him so that he would have some company ^_^

A lot of things has happened the last couple days. Some new cool houses have been built, and a massive Voxelmanip Forums sign has been built right in front of spawn, complete with strobe lights. :LOL:

 They've been around for some days now at this point but the block selection has been slightly expanded.



From right to left:
  • Tall grass - Like the tall grass from modern Minecraft except with a more classic-y colour

  • Strobe light - Slowly flashing block, added mostly as a joke but it's fun to use to make things a bit more dynamic

  • Rainbow wool - Block of wool that cycles through the entire classic wool colour palette. Colourful!

  • Mountain grass - A CPE CustomBlocks reject, thought it was a fun addition. (Also funny trolling Danil by replacing all the regular grass in the map with this grass)

  • Cobweb - Similar CPE reject, cobwebs like the ones in modern Minecraft. They slow you down too.

  • Cyan Flower - Everyone's favourite MCPE exclusive back when it was quirky and not the trashy Bedrock Edition!
There is now a second inventory page where most of these new blocks are gonna show up as I add them.

Oh yeah, also feel free to suggest what blocks I should add next! Even some outlandish ones that make use of Minetest functionality would be fun to add.

Now with shadows! The entire map has overgrown with grass for some unknown reason. There's a new large skyscraper close to spawn, and some other things that might be a bit hard to see in this screenshot.

Thanks for the help with the security question Roller, I've only been like 2 years outta high school and I already forgot what derivatives were ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here's a screenshot from yesterday of the cozy little cottage I built on the cozy little server ... there's supposed to be a river there but I got lazy with the "WATER" lol

 Heh it's okay. The FAQ is supposed to have a cheat sheet on solving the security question but for some reason it decided to go hidey hidey.

Loving the sky island cottage you've been building by the way, I hope the sky will be filled with lots of cute little islands in short enough time, now after both your and Danil's island. :D

 Oh well, I did it in the sky as a crappy attempt at protection against greifers LOL although yeah I think it looks kinda cute. Kinda kitschy almost :)

 Ooh, always nice to see an MC classic server!

Though that does beg an obligatory question on my end:

Why not on classicube? That seems to be the most popular solution for a modern MC classic replacement after Mojang shut down the multiplayer.

 It's for Minetest, not MC Classic. It's obviously good-looking enough of a recreation to have had you fooled, though, so it's doing its job well :P

 I mean, it looks just like one, so I can't exactly say I knew what was different.

Minetest is also totally unknown territory for me (never heard of it basically), so you'll have to forgive me for silly questions and general stupidity when it comes to this. >_<

 I did, as recently as yesterday. :P I had the idea of making a football court using mountain grass and it just developed from there. The platform next to it is of course for all the fans to come and watch the match. :D

I remember seeing this large stadium on an old Minecraft Classic server with a completely enclosed stadium building and glass ceiling and everything. Though mine is not nearly that expansive I did take some cues from what I remembered of it when doing the platform, specifically using iron blocks for it.
