I went ahead and punched a bit of a hole in the forum's automatic HTTPS redirection, so you can post here on more... exotic devices, if you will. Now you can bypass it if you have a cookie named force-http, which can be set by going to http://forum.voxelmanip.se/force-http.php on said device.

Typing this from Opera 12.02 on Windows 2000 BTW.

somehow i feel bad because i feel like i'd just be copying someone elses style and that i have to come up with things myself idk (probably because am dumbdumb but feel like i have to not look dum) ;w;
If you've ever listened to enough tracker music you would recognise that a large part of tracker music share the same samples. One example was when I was listening to Arcane Toaster's tracker music discography and noticed one sample that sounded eerily familiar to ones in aurora.mod's baseline.

Seemingly she would have taken from the same sample library aurora.mod used, and I could recognise the instrument as "hey, it's that aurora.mod bass/drum sample", but it did not in any way feel unoriginal, because it was used in a completely new way.

Indeed. I've always wanted to compose my own music and tried in the past, but it always ends up being complete trash. The closest thing I've ever come to anything decent was the Sudoku soundtrack and that's extremely basic and short. (intended to be looped in-game)

The fun thing about tracker music is that the song construction is available... Like open source music. You can start fidgeting with each track and extract the samples and do all sorts of things with it to figure out how it's constructed.

It will cause a black hole and consume the entire world with it.

If keeping ID 1 small is so important, why don't we get rid of ID 1 entirely?

Honeycomb Beat is a pretty obscure Nintendo DS game with a rather banger soundtrack. It's so obscure it hasn't even been uploaded onto YouTube in it's full form, However it's available on Zophar's Domain in MP3 form which is cool since I'm way too lazy to actually rip the music myself.

Hadn't thought of it being an issue here as images are shown at the true size in the theme I'm using… maybe I should add it incase other themes don't
Yeah generally avatars are shown at the full size, but e.g. on mobile or if you're zoomed in it will start scaling it. It's not very noticeable though, but I tested with your pixel art avatar and it does in fact make it less blurry.

If you're feeling extra courageous you could even scale up a small pixel art avatar with CSS in your post layout... Like scaling it up to 128x128 :P

For profile images the option should be there for different styles, like how Twitter decided to give a hexagon option… if you put your image in an… NFT…
haha, Twitter being twitter.

Whatever happened to custom profile CSS

Another annoying thing is upscaling images, anything intentionally pixelated gets blurred.
IMO the best solution would be giving scaling methods in image metadata, but that's not a thing so sites should give an option maybe?
There is actually a way to switch the image interpolation to nearest neighbour using CSS (image-rendering: pixelated), but really the only sites I've seen that use it are autistic somewhat retro looking sites (read: this place) and it's not really a setting you could toggle anywhere. (you'd basically need your own userstyle)

Here, things like smileys, the logo and the footer badge are rendered pixelated, but avatars aren't because the majority aren't pixel art-y avatars and would look worse. However, you could set your own avatar to be pixelated by putting something like this into your post layout. The joys of CSS!
td.sidebar14 img {
image-rendering: pixelated;
}
